“Zebras died of hunger earlier this year during the Israel-Hamas war”

“GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – Gaza City zookeepers have found a creative way of drawing crowds to their dilapidated zoo — by painting their donkeys. The Marah Land Zoo’s only two zebras died of hunger earlier this year when they were neglected during the Israel-Hamas war.

The popular animals were too expensive to replace, so the keepers decided to design a pair of donkeys with black and white patterns instead.

Ahmad Barghouti says a professional painter used French-manufactured hair coloring to make the donkeys look like zebras.”

Steve Carell’s Daughter In Business With Billy Ray Cyrus

Author: admin | Filed under: News
steve-carell_daughterBestOfStumbleupon “Steve Carell’s 8-year-old daughter is learning how to profit from her dad’s celebrity status by selling lemonade to paparazzi lurking around their Los Angeles home.

The actor admits he had low expectations for little Annie’s business venture, and he was shocked when his daughter came back with a pocket full of cash after helping paparazzi trailing neighborhood celebrities cool down with summer drinks.

He explains, “She went down to the corner. … I figured she’d come back in half an hour or an hour with 75 cents. She came back with $36 in half an hour.

“Billy Ray Cyrus (came) by walking his dog and drops $20 on a cup of lemonade, so she keeps the $20. Then the paparazzi who had been following Billy Ray Cyrus, they all came and bought lemonade as well. And then the police who were called to chase the paparazzi circle back and bought lemonade. Now she thinks she can do that for a living.”

“Steve Carell is just awesome. This is cute little story, it isn’t meant to enthrall the reader/listener but I did chuckle a bit… I can imagine trying to explain to my kid that lemonade stands are not always that lucrative… then again… maybe she is on to something… That would teach the paparazzi! Imagine a team of food/drink trucks chasing the paparazzi!! lol!!

Farmer’s daughter disarms terrorist and shoots him dead with AK47

“An Indian farmer’s daughter disarmed a terrorist leader who broke into her home, attacked him with an axe and shot him dead with his own gun.”

“Rukhsana Kausar, 21, was with her parents and brother in Jammu and Kashmir when three gunmen, believed to be Pakistani militants, forced their way in and demanded food and beds for the night.

Their house in Shahdra Sharief, Rajouri district, is about 20 miles from the ceasefire line between Indian and Pakistani forces.

It is close to dense forests known as hiding places for fighters from the Lashkar-e-Taiba group, which carried out the Mumbai terrorist attack last November.

Militants often demand food and lodging in nearby villages.

When they forced their way into Miss Kausar’s home, her father Noor Mohammad refused their demands and was attacked.

His daughter was hiding under a bed when she heard him crying as the gunmen thrashed him with sticks. According to police, she ran towards her father’s attacker and struck him with an axe. As he collapsed, she snatched his AK47 and shot him dead.

She also shot and wounded another militant as he made his escape.

Police have hailed the woman’s bravery.

They said she would be nominated for the president’s gallantry award.

She may also receive a £4,000 reward if, as police believe, the dead terrorist is confirmed as Uzafa Shah, a wanted Pakistani LeT commander who had been active in the area for the past four years.

Supt Shafqat Watali said Miss Kausar’s reaction was “a rude shock” for the militants. “Normally they get king-like treatment but this was totally unexpected,” he said.

Miss Kausar said she had never fired an assault rifle before but had seen it in films and could not stand by while her father was being hurt. “I couldn’t bear my father’s humiliation. If I’d failed to kill him, they would have killed us,” she said.”

YEAH! Thats what I’m talkin bout! Pretty much the same thing would happen if some fool thought he was going to strong arm his way into my house! You go girl!

Police Playing Wii on a drug raid

Author: admin | Filed under: News, Uncategorized, Video

“When they say the Wii is addictive, they don’t necessarily mean “so addictive that policemen will forget they’re on a drug raid and start playing Wii”, but now we have video proof that this is exactly the case.

wii_bowling

The amazing fact about this video, taken by a home security system, is the length of the Wii session that ensues. The policemen are completely taken by a game of Bowling, and they keep on playing for about nine hours. And I consider myself a gamer, with my puny 5-hour sessions. See the video, bound to become an instant YouTube (YouTube) hit, after the break.”

You just gotta love how hard the cops are working these days eh??

“A driver pulled over when he heard loud miaowing coming from the rear of his motor as he drove to work in Sankt Poelten, Austria. Mechanics spent three hours dismantling the car and found Gussie, a neighbor’s kitten, in the engine.”

Aw this little guy has already used one of his 9 lives and he isn’t even full grown yet! I’m glad that guy was willing to dismantle his engine to find the meower!

Brilliant Label Design Ensures Food Safety and Freshness Quality

“TO-GENKYO has designed an innovative hourglass shaped label for packaged meat which uses a special ink that changes color as ammonia is released inside the package. As the meat ages, it releases increasing amounts of the substance, obscuring the bar-code at the bottom. Customers can quickly see if the meat is going bad – and when the bar-code becomes completely covered, it can’t be scanned.”

How cool is that? I love it! That would really help with that super processed hamburger that doesn’t lose its red color.. well ever. I like it! I’d love to see this in my local supermarket but I guess it would be silly for me to hold my breath on that one huh? *sigh*

Tongue-Eating Parasite Discovered Off the Jersey Coast

Author: admin | Filed under: Nature, News, Pictures

Disgusting!

tongue-eating-parasiteBestOfStumbleupon

“There’s been a spate of amazing animal discoveries recently–the giant rat-eating plants found in the Philippines, a huge woolly rat discovered in a volcanic crater–and now, yet another creature has emerged that could be right out of a sci-fi film. It’s a bizarre creature that survives by eating its hosts’ tongue and then attaching itself inside the mouth.

The sea-dwelling parasite attacks fish, burrows into it, and then devours its tongue. After eating the tongue, the parasite proceeds to live inside the fish’s mouth. There’s a horror film waiting to be made about this thing. Surprisingly, the fish doesn’t seem to suffer any severe impediment–just the loss of its tongue–and seems to have no trouble surviving with its new, far uglier tongue.”

You have to admit that is a bad ass parasite! GROSS! Wtf is up with how MASSIVE it is? He looks all happy as well! Also whats up with the teeth of that fish? They look like human teeth… Dude, just gross.

Polar bears in Norway increasing in numbers

Author: admin | Filed under: Animals, Cute, Nature, News

“Despite rapidly shrinking sea-ice – the bear’s summer hunting ground – the ban on hunting bears and their prey may be causing their number to increase.”

This is fantastic news! I LOVE Polar Bears! I think everyone has seen the footage of the Polar Bear that tried to swim for food and drowned because the ice melting has caused its hunting ground to be farther and farther out from its icy home and the bear was too tired to swim all the way back. I cried watching that, I know I am not alone there.. Polar bears shouldn’t drowned.. I am glad to hear they are adapting and possibly growing in numbers!! There are some incredible pictures from this series.
