Downloading songs from Tumblr is a snap with Firefox!

1. Download the Greasemonkey addon, which lets you install third-party scripts to customize the way you view webpages.
2. Install Tumtaster (the script used for downloading mp3s from tumblr).

That’s it! The script adds a download button right under the music player displayed on tumblr, that allows you to easily download any songs tumblrs post. Downloading the mp3 is a 2 click process, right-click on the download button and select ‘Save Link As’.

Downloading mp3’s from tumblr is even easier with Google Chrome because installing Greasemonkey isn’t even necessary!

For IE and Safari users, you can try reading this guide to make Greasemonkey/Tumtaster work, or you can just use a better browser, which is what I recommend.

First of all you have to get past the fact that Alexander Fury is typing all of Lady Gaga’s responses on his laptop live. He thinks he has a good reason for doing it but at first it is really irritating and Gaga is visibly uneasy about it. I thought to myself “I don’t know if I can watch this with him typing” but the truth is, it turned out to be wonderful. Of course I couldn’t turn away because of how much I adore Lady Gaga and listening to her speak so candidly drew me in like a moth to a flame but as the interview goes on I realize what he is doing, that annoying typing, is creating a rather unique atmosphere. It is giving Gaga time to be reflective and really thoughtful about all of her replies. Traditional reporters tend to give you a quick time slot, here is the question now give us your fast off the cuff answer so we can move on to plug your CD or whatever but here, in this instance she gets to do so much more. She is speaking from the heart as she always does but in this interview she is given the opportunity to be her sincere and sweet self all the way through.

I love how she used the word zeitgeist, that is going to send the Gaga conspiracy theorists into a frenzy. It is beyond laughable that so many people believe she has a “one world order” agenda and that she is merely a “puppet of the powers that be”, oh please, anyone with eyes can see clearly Gaga is the puppet master and her “agenda” is of her own making, no one is coercing her to be anything. She is who she is and who that is changes with her moods just like it does for all of us who are willing to embrace ourselves and refuse to deny our innate craving to “be something special”.

Lady Gaga is the most genuine celebrity we have had the pleasure of meeting in a long time and perhaps she will set a new president by setting the bar so high that other celebrities are forced to keep it real just to keep up with her. I have been writing this as I watch the interview and at 39min she touches on what I was just trying to explain. She speaks on “The Legends” and says the one thing all of them have in common is that they are “the nicest most wonderful human beings you have ever met in your life and that has been… that has freed me”.

This music is beautiful and I LOVE the video! The lyrics are cool as hell, her singing rocks and I totally dig the guitar. Also, I really want her dress.

This is so well done, there are bits that are over the top cheesy but I think that is to be expected, isn’t it? Oh dear me, this is funny though. I am a huge Beatles fan so this cracks me up a little extra I guess.

This song was meant to be enjoyed… very much like this. It holds a special place in my heart as I think it does many people. There is something very beautiful in hearing it sung with so much soul by people who love it and believe in its meaning.

Men in Black, like you have never heard it before.

THIS is just awesome, I watched it 3 times. I love Will Smith but not as much as this guy, clearly. Oh damn this is good. You can tell at first Will thought it was hilarious and then he gets this “damn he’s actually pretty good” look on his face, totally worth watching!
